CRETAN IAMA is an antivirus product based on phytochemicals of Coridothymus capitatus, Salvia fruticosa and Origanum dictamnus. The product has been developed at the University of Crete from Prof. Elias Castanas (School of Medicine), Prof. Christos Lionis (School of Medicine), Prof. Stergios Pirintsos (Department of Biology) and the contribution of Prof. George Sourvinos (School of Medicine) in cooperation with the pharmaceutical companies Galenica sa and Olvos Science sa. The results of the clinical study have been presented in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology and the product is protected by an International patent (PCT).
